Job Brief:

We are looking for a senior skilled web developer who will be responsible for developing and/or designing websites for our products. You will be working alongside a team of other developers in creating, maintaining, and updating the product websites.

In order for you to succeed in this role, you will need to be proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, bootstrapping, and have solid knowledge and experience in programming applications.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Website and software application designing, building, or maintaining.
2. Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications, and digital media.
3. Create advance website layouts and user interfaces with HTML, PHP and CSS.
4. Ensure cross-browser compatibility of new features
5. Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
6. Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to operations and activities
7. Conferring with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, develop content criteria, or choose solutions.
8. Directing or performing Website updates.
9. Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.
10. Editing, writing, or designing Website content, and directing team members who produce content.
11. Maintaining an understanding of the latest Web applications and programming practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups.
12. Back up files from Web sites to local directories for recovery.
13. Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing, and correcting or referring problems to appropriate personnel for correction.
14. Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
15. Determining user needs by analysing technical requirements.

Requirements

Below are the qualifications expected of a web developer:

1. Web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, CSS 3 Bootstrap, and JavaScript
2. Content management systems (CMSs) such as WordPress, Joomla, and Squarespace
3. UI/UX design experience
4. Able to develop responsive web design
5. Working knowledge of graphic design
6. Relational databases such as MySQL
7. Agile and test-driven development best practices
8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
9. Solid ability in both written and verbal communication.
10. Knowledge of programming language and technical terminology.
11. Able to develop ideas and processes and clearly express them.
12. High degree of independent judgment.
13. Able to solve complex problems.

Ideal candidate must also have:

1. B.S/M.S in Computer Science or related field, with at least 5+ years of professional experience of web development and design in an agile environment.
