SkyElectric is looking to hire a Systems QA Engineer who is passionate about technologies enabling a greener future. The person will work with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, firmware and mechanical design) to validate the next generation of hybrid solar inverters.
What You’ll Do
- Perform hardware and firmware integration of next generation power converters for residential energy storage and solar systems.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate functions, features, and system performance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure functional, performance, and safety requirements are successfully achieved.
- Conduct failure analysis to understand root cause and drive resolution for failures originating in testing and from the field.
- Drive continuous improvement in design and performance by providing direct and accurate feedback to design owners.
- Hands-on with hardware bring up and prototyping.

What You’ll Bring
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in electronic hardware integration and power converter design/testing.
- Strong understanding of power electronic components (active and passive) and expertise in developing associated characterization/validation testing methods.
- Good understanding of power electronics topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC & DC/AC), modulation schemes, and control theories.
- Some experience with Altium or other schematic entry and PCB layout software.
- Strong proficiency with basic EE tools (scopes, network analyzers, power supplies, electronic loads, CAN tools).
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, able to identify and surface issues within complex hardware/software systems.
- Ability to document testing results in a methodical manner
