Description:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Short-Form Video Editor to create compelling and high-impact videos for our podcast clients. You will transform long-form podcast content into engaging short videos optimized for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of social media trends, exceptional video editing skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and produce short-form videos (reels, clips, and ads) for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, ensuring they are optimized for each platform
- Repurpose long-form podcast content into short, attention-grabbing clips that drive engagement and enhance audience retention
- Incorporate dynamic captions, motion graphics, and visual effects to elevate storytelling and viewer experience
- Optimize video pacing, transitions, and hooks to maintain audience interest and maximize reach
- Stay updated on social media trends and platform algorithms to ensure content meets current standards/trends
- Collaborate with the content & podcast management teams to align videos with brand guidelines and messaging
- Apply basic audio enhancement, color correction, and sound design to produce polished and professional videos
- Address client feedback promptly and implement re-edits to refine and improve video content
- Strategically plan and deliver edited shorts on social media platforms to boost audience engagement
- Ensure all videos comply with company SOPs and meet quality standards before submission ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in short-form video editing with a strong portfolio showcasing past work
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; experience with CapCut or similar tools is a plus
- Strong storyboarding and visual storytelling skills with the ability to craft engaging hooks for short videos
- Understanding of social media algorithms and best practices for maximizing engagement
- Experience with motion graphics, animation, sound design, and audio mixing is highly desirable
- Familiarity with captioning, text overlays, and meme-style editing to enhance video appeal
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing/communication/Film/IT, or a related field is preferred
- 1 to 2 years of experience in video editing for digital marketing, focusing on short-form content
- Passion for podcasts, content marketing, and social media trends
