Description:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Local SEO Strategist to lead and optimize our local organic growth initiatives. This role focuses on strengthening local search visibility, improving map rankings, managing business listings, and driving high-intent local leads. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with multi-location SEO, Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization, and location-based content strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute local SEO strategies to increase visibility across Google Maps, local search results, and directory networks.
- Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles (GBP) for multiple locations, including posts, services, attributes, reviews, photos, and NAP consistency.
- Conduct local keyword research, competitor benchmarking, and local content planning.
- Implement on-page SEO optimization for location pages, service pages, metadata, internal linking, and schema.
- Build and manage local citations & business listings, ensuring NAP accuracy across platforms.
- Develop and support local link-building campaigns (local partnerships, community pages, niche directories).
- Monitor site health and technical SEO signals affecting local rankings (page speed, mobile optimization, site structure, indexation).
- Track and analyze performance through Google Analytics, Search Console, GBP Insights, BrightLocal/Yext/Whitespark, etc.
- Develop monthly performance reports with KPIs such as ranking improvements, organic traffic, calls, direction requests, and lead quality.
- Lead local SEO initiatives with cross-functional teams including content, outreach, design, and engineering.
- Stay updated with local search algorithm changes and local SEO best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Local SEO (agency or multi-location preferred).
- Hands-on experience managing Google Business Profile accounts.
- Expertise in local ranking factors, proximity signals, and map-pack ranking strategies.
- Strong understanding of local citation building tools (BrightLocal, Whitespark, Yext, Moz Local, etc.).
- Experience working with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, etc.).
- Familiarity with schema markup (LocalBusiness, FAQPage, Product, Service).
- Proficiency with SEO tools:
- Google Analytics / GA4 & Search Console
- Ahrefs / SEMrush
- Google Business Profile Tools
- Screaming Frog
- Excellent communication, project management, and reporting skills.
