Description:
You will work closely with construction and commercial stakeholders on active projects, helping the business maintain rigorous cost control, accurate reporting and timely commercial decisions. This is a senior QS role requiring independent judgement and strong technical capability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead measurement and quantity take-offs; prepare robust cost plans, estimates and project budgets.
- Own cost tracking, cost-to-complete forecasting, cash-flow inputs and cost-value reconciliation (CVR) reporting.
- Use Procore Budget and Cost Management functions to maintain accurate, auditable commercial records.
- Prepare and analyse tenders, subcontractor packages and supplier quotations; support procurement decisions.
- Assess variations, valuations, payment applications and commercial changes.
- Identify cost exposure, discrepancies and emerging commercial risks; report clearly to project leadership.
- Coordinate with site managers, project teams, subcontractors and suppliers across international locations.
- Produce accurate Excel-based analysis and concise management reporting; maintain reliable digital project records.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management or a closely related discipline.
- Substantial hands-on quantity surveying experience on live construction projects, including commercial cost control and reporting.
- Demonstrable, practical Procore experience — specifically its Budget / Cost Management functionality. Applicants must be able to explain exactly which Procore modules and workflows they have personally used.
- Competence in digital take-off software such as Bluebeam, Cubit, CostX or comparable packages, plus advanced Excel capability.
- Confident remote working, strong independent organisation and excellent written and spoken business English.
- Ability to work collaboratively with construction teams across time zones and communicate commercial issues clearly.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
- Previous remote QS work for UK, Irish, US or other overseas construction/development businesses.
- Experience across residential development, refurbishment, multi-unit property projects or comparable building works.
- Exposure to structured procurement, subcontractor account management and international reporting standards.
