Description:
As a Senior Proposal Writer, you will lead and support the development of competitive proposals across multiple U.S. Government opportunities, you will work closely with executive leadership, business development teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), and teaming partners to deliver high-quality proposal submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end proposal development from receipt of RFI/RFP/RFQ through final submission
- Lead and support capture activities, including win strategy development and solution positioning
- Develop and maintain capture and opportunity documentation (capture plans, trackers, compliance matrices)
- Write, edit, and coordinate proposal responses to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, BAAs, and white papers
- Review solicitations to extract compliance requirements and structure proposals accordingly
- Translate complex technical and operational inputs into clear, compelling, and evaluable narratives
- Coordinate with SMEs, program managers, and leadership to gather and refine content
- Manage proposal schedules, calendars, and internal deadlines
- Conduct compliance checks, formatting, proofreading, and final production activities
- Coordinate graphics integration, layout, pagination, and formatting during proposal production
- Support color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold) and incorporate feedback
- Maintain reusable content libraries, templates, past performance, and graphics repositories
- Conduct customer, competitor, and market research to inform capture strategies
- Support after-action reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage multiple concurrent proposals under tight deadlines

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in proposal, capture, or growth roles within U.S. Federal Government contracting
- Demonstrated experience supporting proposals for DoD, State Department, or other federal agencies
- Strong writing, editing, formatting, and document management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and proposal collaboration tools
- Solid understanding of the federal acquisition lifecycle
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail and compliance discipline
