Senior Network Engineer

 

Description:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer – Network Operations & Architecture

to support a global multi-site enterprise network infrastructure. The role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, architecture validation, and L3 escalation support for critical network operations.

The ideal candidate will act as the technical escalation point for complex incidents, collaborate with customer IT teams, monitoring teams, and OEM vendors, and contribute to network scalability, performance optimization, and infrastructure reliability.

 

➡️ Key Responsibilities

Network Operations & Incident Escalation

• Act as L3 escalation engineer for critical network incidents.

• Lead troubleshooting of complex issues related to:

• Firewalls

• Core/distribution switching

• Wireless infrastructure

• WAN connectivity

• Coordinate with OEM vendors for advanced troubleshooting.

 

Network Architecture & Design Validation

• Review and validate enterprise network architecture designs.

• Provide recommendations on:

• Network segmentation strategies

• WAN architecture and failover

• Routing protocols

• IP addressing and IPAM

• Wireless architecture and roaming optimization.

 

Change Management

• Approve and review network configuration changes including:

• VLAN modifications

• VPN configuration

• QoS policy implementation

• Inter-site routing changes

• Ensure all changes follow approved change management processes.

 

Capacity Planning & Optimization

• Analyze network capacity and utilization trends including:

• WAN bandwidth utilization

• Switch port usage

• Wireless AP capacity

• Provide recommendations for network scaling and performance improvement.

 

Security & Compliance

• Support implementation of:

• Network security best practices

• Firewall policy validation

• Secure segmentation models.

 

Reporting & Stakeholder Interaction

• Participate in quarterly service reviews and architecture discussions.

• Provide technical documentation and advisory recommendations.
