Description:
To lead and manage injection molding operations and project planning activities, ensuring production excellence, process optimization, timely execution of new initiatives, team development, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Performance Management
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance to ensure departmental targets and KPIs are consistently achieved.
- Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to drive efficiency and quality.
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop detailed project plans for new mold installations, machine upgrades, and process improvements.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of engineering and production-related projects.
- Ensure all project milestones are met within defined timelines and budget constraints.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely delivery and commissioning of project equipment.
Mold & Machine Management
- Diagnose and resolve mold-related issues to reduce downtime and enhance output.
- Collaborate with R&D and Engineering for the introduction of new molds, products, or processes.
Maintenance & Repairs
- Supervise and ensure execution of preventive maintenance programs.
- Coordinate machine repairs and upgrades with the maintenance team.
Inventory & Spare Parts Management
- Maintain inventory of critical spare parts to avoid production interruptions.
- Manage third-party material shipment tracking and local parts availability in coordination with the PPC team.
System & Compliance Management
- Ensure material receiving compliance through SAP/WMS systems and resolve BOM-related consumption issues.
- Ensure adherence to ISO and other relevant regulatory standards.
Budget & Cost Control
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, controlling costs related to maintenance, labor, projects, and spares.
6S & Safety
- Drive 6S implementation across the injection molding floor.
- Promote a strong safety culture by addressing physical safety risks and improving employee safety behavior.
Team Development & Training
- Organize and execute training programs to enhance team skills and capabilities.
- Continuously assess and develop the technical competency of the workforce.
Reporting & Month-End Activities
- Responsible for month-end closing procedures, including inventory and stock-taking activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Factory or Production Manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical/Industrial/Polymer Engineering or related field.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in injection molding operations and project execution, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong project management skills and working knowledge of SAP/WMS systems.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and drive continuous improvement.
