Description:
We are seeking a Senior Machine Operator with hands-on experience in operating Mark Andy label printing machines. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in printing operations, troubleshooting, and adapting to new label printing changes. This is a shift-based role (minimum 8 hours) requiring flexibility and expertise in maintaining high production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and oversee Mark Andy flexographic label printing machines efficiently.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and minimize downtime.
- Handle rotary die-cutting operations, ensuring accurate label finishing.
- Adjust web tension and rotary bars to maintain smooth material movement.
- Perform quick changeovers between jobs, including ink, plate, and roller changes.
- Conduct routine maintenance and adjustments to optimize performance.
- Monitor print quality, color consistency, and label alignment.
- Identify and resolve issues like misregistration, ink spitting, and ghosting.
- Implement new label printing changes as per client requirements.
- Coordinate with the production team to meet deadlines and ensure quality.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and waste reduction.
- Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain production logs, report technical issues, and suggest improvements.
