Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Description:

Hubaix, a cutting-edge AI solutions company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their growing AI/ML team. In this remote, part-time contractual role, you will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of machine learning solutions, working on high-impact problems and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, efficient machine learning models for real-world applications.

• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to translate project requirements into technical solutions.

• Manage the full ML development lifecycle: data preprocessing, feature engineering, model selection, training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.

• Evaluate model performance and implement continuous improvement strategies.

• Build and maintain ML pipelines using MLOps best practices (versioning, testing, CI/CD).

• Stay up-to-date with the latest ML research and technologies, bringing innovative solutions to the team.

• Mentor junior ML engineers and interns.

• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and knowledge sharing across the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning or deep learning roles.

• Proven experience deploying ML models in production environments.

• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, and deep learning architectures.

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, LightGBM).

• Familiarity with data engineering tools (e.g., Airflow, Spark, Kafka).

• Experience with ML lifecycle and MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, DVC, Kubeflow).

• Strong understanding of software development best practices (CI/CD, unit testing, version control with Git).

• Exposure to NLP, Computer Vision, or Time Series modeling is a big plus.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
