A reputable cybersecurity organization (likely IT Butler) is seeking a seasoned and driven Senior L2 SOC Analyst to join their onsite team in Bahria Town Phase 07, Islamabad. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding client environments by monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats at a high level. This position is ideal for professionals who have a strong background in SOC operations, particularly with MSSP (Managed Security Service Provider) environments.

The selected candidate will begin on 1st May 2025 and will be responsible for overseeing advanced security event monitoring, conducting complex incident investigations, and providing mentorship to L1 SOC analysts. Key tasks include triaging escalated incidents, performing root cause analyses, recommending remediation strategies, and supporting containment and recovery efforts during security breaches. You will also lead proactive threat hunting initiatives, fine-tune detection rules, collaborate with threat intelligence and engineering teams, and enhance incident response playbooks.

Candidates should possess strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, expertise in using tools like SIEM (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), EDR (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), IDS/IPS, and firewalls, and have experience in handling real-time security incidents. A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field is required, along with relevant certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, CEH, or CySA+.
