Key Responsibilities & Technical Expertise
Infrastructure Management
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN networks, VOIP systems, and security infrastructure.
- Administer and optimize corporate network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless systems.
- Deploy and configure office networks with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and security best practices.
- Manage virtualized environments (VMware ESXi), ensuring resource optimization and high availability.
Storage & Security Systems
- Implement and maintain FreeNAS/TrueNAS storage solutions with effective backup and disaster recovery protocols.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot CCTV/IP camera systems, DVR/NVR solutions for comprehensive surveillance coverage.
- Ensure network security through firewall configuration, intrusion detection, and access control management.
- Conduct regular security assessments and implement remediation strategies.
Operations & Support
- Monitor system performance using enterprise monitoring tools, addressing potential issues proactively.
- Manage incident response, service requests, and change management processes via ticketing systems.
- Lead and mentor first-level support engineers, providing technical guidance and knowledge transfer.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, network diagrams, and SOPs.
Strategic Initiatives
- Develop and implement IT policies, security standards, and operational procedures.
- Generate reports on system performance, incident metrics, and infrastructure utilization.
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh cycles.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align IT operations with company objectives.
Technical Expertise
- Windows Server Environment: Advanced proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and domain management.
- Virtualization: Strong experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and full VM lifecycle management.
- Backup Solutions: Hands-on expertise with Veeam Backup & Replication, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
- Networking: In-depth knowledge of Cisco switches, VLANs, routing protocols, and firewalls (pfSense, Kerio Control, Mikrotik).
- Storage Systems: Solid experience with NAS/SAN technologies, particularly FreeNAS/TrueNAS.
- Security Systems: Skilled in CCTV/IP camera deployment, DVR/NVR management, and surveillance integration.
Experience & Education
- 3–5 years of proven IT support/system administration experience in enterprise environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated success in managing and delivering complex IT infrastructure projects.
