Senior Finance Associate

Description:

BaadMay, a leading digital consumer lending startup backed by VentureDive, is looking for a Senior Finance Associate to join its growing team. As a key member of the finance department, the ideal candidate will take full ownership of financial operations, including recording transactions, managing payments, preparing financial reports, and handling tax matters. You will also coordinate with external stakeholders such as banks, auditors, tax authorities, and regulators.

Responsibilities:

• Record all financial transactions accurately and timely in the ledger.

• Manage and execute day-to-day payments and monitor cash flow.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and promptly resolve discrepancies.

• Prepare and finalize monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and supporting schedules).

• Handle all tax filings including withholding tax, sales tax, and income tax.

• Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders: banks, auditors, tax consultants, and regulators.

• Support regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with financial and legal standards.

• Maintain organized financial records and ensure audit readiness.

• Identify and implement process improvements in finance operations.

Requirements:

• ACCA finalist or BBA in Accounting & Finance.

• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or audit.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance.

• Proficient in recording transactions, ledger management, and financial reporting.

• Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or ERP systems).

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

• High sense of ownership, diligence, and attention to detail.
