Description:
As a Senior Fashion Designer, you will lead the creative direction and execution of seasonal collections, ensuring each piece embodies our brand ethos: strength, rarity, and luxury. You will also assume select leadership duties—shaping brand vision, mentoring a small team, and collaborating closely with cross-functional partners—while retaining core Senior Designer responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Creative & Concept Development
- Seasonal Concepts: Craft mood boards and concept decks for Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter, grounded in ruby-inspired narratives and colour palettes (deep garnet, crimson, rose-pink, burgundy).
- Print & Embroidery Direction: Design original prints and oversee embroidery layouts (hand-stitch, laser, and digital), working with our in-house and external ateliers.
- Storytelling: Infuse collections with heritage motifs.
Technical Design & Production
- Technical Specifications: Create detailed flats, spec sheets, grading notes, and construction guidelines aligned with local body metrics.
- Sample Development & Fit: Oversee prototyping, conduct fit sessions, and iterate to meet quality and design standards.
- Fabric & Trim Sourcing: Collaborate with sourcing to identify premium textiles (silk chiffon, lawn, organza) and trims, balancing cost, quality, and lead times.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Merchandising Alignment: Partner with Merchandising to define color stories, pricing tiers, and SKU assortments that resonate in Lahore’s luxury market.
- Production Oversight: Coordinate with Production and quality-control teams to monitor timelines, troubleshoot issues, and ensure impeccable finishing.
- Vendor Relations: Cultivate partnerships with local embroiderers, print houses, and mills (Karachi and Lahore networks) to secure competitive rates and reliable delivery.
Mentorship & Team Leadership
- Guidance: Mentor junior designers on CAD design (Illustrator, CorelDRAW), technical detailing, and garment engineering.
- Knowledge Sharing: Lead weekly design reviews, share insights on hand-embroidery techniques, and uphold brand consistency.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate meetings with Creative Leadership and external collaborators, ensuring transparent timelines and deliverables.
