Senior Design Engineer

Description:

Solway Energy is looking to hire Design Engineer for Karachi Office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design Of Mega Scale Projects.

• Meet clients, along with the Sales team, and visit project sites to understand the scope of work and requirements.

• Design solutions to achieve the desired objectives and, if required, present the solution to clients and answer any questions raised by clients or their engineering teams.

• Work with sales team to create payout analysis to help convince clients about the sustainability of the solutions for their business or personal requirements.

• Review and approve contract documents, including project design criteria, agreements, quotations, and invoices submitted to clients.

• Must have command on AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Helioscope, PVsyst, PV*SOL, MATLAB.

• Prepare all technical CAD drawings.

• Experience in designing large-scale customized solar power solutions.

• Knowledge of sizing electrical equipment must be able to run simulations on renowned Solar PV design software

Job Requirements:

• After Sales Support

• Provide technical support to clients after project installation to ensure system delivery as promised.

• Conduct periodic maintenance checks on client projects for preventive system care.

• Conduct trouble shooting to determine root cause of any system issues and recommend appropriate course of action to client.

• Engineering Team Building

• Help to establish the Engineering function for the company, providing strategic support on the organization structure and helping to develop the required systems & processes.

• Lead on-boarding and training for Engineering team; mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership to develop their capability.

• Help in qualification of vendors for various equipment and materials, e.g. solar panels.

• Stay abreast of latest technology in the field and share Best Practices in the organization.

Qualification & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Power Engineering, or related discipline

• Degree or Certificate in Solar Designing and/or Solar Engineering will be highly preferred

• Professional Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in Photo Voltaic Designing of Industrial, Commercial, Residential projects

• Solar Construction Drawings and related projects (Grid tied, On & Off Grid, Hybrid Systems
