Senior Backend Engineer

Description:

We're looking for an experienced backend engineer to build and own core services on our platform, bookings, payments, and integrations with travel and payment providers. You'll design APIs and data models, ship features end to end, and help raise the engineering bar as the platform grows.

Our stack: Go, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud.

What You'll Do

- Design, build, and maintain backend services in Go

- Model and evolve data in PostgreSQL, schema design, migrations, and efficient queries

- Build integrations with third-party APIs (travel suppliers, payment providers)

- Develop background jobs and workflows for order processing and reconciliation

- Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews

- Deploy, monitor, and support services in production on Google Cloud

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of backend development experience, including 3+ years with Go in production

- Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills, schema design, transactions, performance

- Experience integrating third-party APIs (REST, OAuth2, webhooks)

- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and CI/CD pipelines

- Familiarity with payments, e-commerce, or booking systems is a strong plus

- Clear communication and the ability to work independently and own outcomes
