Senior Backend Developer

Virtej Technologies, a leading IT company based in Karachi, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend technologies with proven expertise in MERN stack and PHP/Laravel frameworks, along with familiarity in .Net technologies.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that support scalable web and mobile applications. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, mobile app developers, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

The position requires working evening or night shifts, and candidates must be Karachi-based to be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using MERN stack and PHP/Laravel

• Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable backend systems

• Work with mobile app developers to integrate backend functionalities

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software for performance and scalability

• Collaborate with the team on project planning and delivery

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and implement best practices

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js)

• Proficient in PHP and Laravel framework

• Experience with .Net technologies is a plus

• Familiarity with mobile app development and software development lifecycle

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
