Seafood Product Development Technologist

Hydra Foods, a leading surimi and seafood processing company based in Korangi, Karachi, is looking for a talented Seafood / Surimi Product Development Technologist to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new Seafood and Surimi-based products such as:

Crab sticks, fish balls, fish sausages, fish nuggets, surimi noodles, popcorn fish, fish fillets and other innovative items.

• Conduct formulation research, R&D trials, and prototype development.
• Improve texture, flavor, gel strength, and overall product performance.
• Benchmark international seafood products and incorporate best practices.
• Prepare complete documentation for each product: formulations, process flow, ingredients, technical specs.
• Maintain confidentiality of formulas and ensure all R&D data is properly recorded.

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Food Technology, Food Science, Marine/Fisheries Technology
• Atleast 2 years of hands-on experience in Product Development related roles, preferably seafood product development.
