Sales Specialist

 

Description:

The job will have the primary role of working cohesively with the sales team, operationally handling sales activities, and generating constructive leads to enhance our business revenue stream. The incumbent will be liable to convert the given sales targets in to subsequent revenue streams. On a regular basis, analyse patterns in consumer and market behaviour, and successively define data-driven action strategies in order to consistently optimise the business’ commercial performance as well as new product lines in terms of commercial, corporate and in house walk in clients.

 

This is a data-driven role that requires commercial sales acumen and a deep understanding of the consumer base, the competitive market, and an ability to analyse sales leads through proper understanding of what our business has to offer in terms of existing and new product lines.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

This job shall focus mainly on:

  • Build a knowledge of sales targets, discuss new ones, knowledge about sales strategies and how to implement them to attain the sales targets assigned per month.
  • Build understanding of market, market trends, customer line and consumerism of our organisation alike.
  • Make sure to align revenue stream with successive sales in all categories.
  • The incumbent will be responsible to forecast new sales workflow and achievement actions according to market and competitive changes.
  • Take new products to market as well as penetrating new markets with old and new product lines.
  • The right individual will bring a sense of ownership to his work.
  • Brainstorming sessions with the sales team in order to achieve set KPI’s and financial targets.
  • Generate new business opportunities within the identified target sectors. Convert valuable inbound leads into sales.
  • Think on behalf of the client to pre-empt their needs and deliver tailored presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Constantly strive to improve performance, shorten deal cycles and forecast with accuracy. Ensure that all components of the client value proposition are mapped effectively.
  • Do a gap analysis of what is being done, what are the sales actions deficit on and how to improve them.
  • Have a mindset to uplift and enhance selling targets, by developing and maintaining a sales network.

 

Qualification Required:

Bachelors in Management subjects. Sales studies/diploma/certification will be a plus.

 

Skills:

  • Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding annual revenue targets.
  • Effective Negotiator.
  • Proven sales skills in complex deal development, financial structuring, negotiations and closing with both new and existing clients at all levels.
  • Domain experience in Marketing, Marketing Technologies and/or Data solutions is strongly preferred.
  • Trustworthy. Shows the highest level of integrity, intent, ability and results in all endeavors building trust with all stakeholders.
  • Experience in working with sales database and design, sales mapping, forecasting and reporting.
