Description:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in the generator sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power generation or industrial equipment sales, a proven track record of achieving sales targets, and excellent leadership and customer relationship management skills. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the sales team, driving revenue growth, and expanding market share in the generator industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market penetration and achieve revenue targets in the generator business.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team, setting clear sales goals and performance expectations. Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to ensure success.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities. Provide insights and recommendations to the senior management team.
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline management, and market conditions.
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, distribution channels, and key accounts. Expand the customer base and promote the company's products and services.
- Contract Negotiation:
- Lead negotiations for sales contracts, ensuring terms are favorable for both the company and the customer.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing, operations, and finance teams to align sales efforts with company goals and ensure smooth execution of customer orders.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the power generation, industrial equipment, or energy sector. At least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of generator products, power solutions, or related industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and customer needs in the power generation sector.
