Retail Operations & Business-development Manager

 

Description:

The Linen Company, supported by the textile giant Nishat, is expanding its footprint in Egyptian-cotton, bamboo, and eucalyptus home essentials and is seeking a passionate Retail Operations & Business-Development Manager. The role is based at the Lahore Head Office and involves nationwide travel across stores.

Responsibilities:

  • Store Performance: Drive weekly sales targets, analyze POS and footfall data, and improve conversion rates, UPT (Units Per Transaction), and AOV (Average Order Value) across all TLC stores.

  • People & Training: Manage ±100 store staff by recruiting, rostering, and coaching. Deliver monthly product and service training aligned with the "Delight the Customer" value.

  • Visual & Experience Management: Ensure adherence to Visual Merchandising (VM) guidelines and collaborate with the creative team for seasonal store refreshes and in-mall activations.

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee cash reconciliation, maintain shrinkage at or below 0.6%, conduct stock counts, and ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and grooming requirements.

  • Customer Satisfaction: Achieve a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 4.2+ and maintain a mystery shop score of ≥90 while leading the call-center team for COD (Cash on Delivery) order confirmations.

  • Business Development: Scout new store locations, prepare feasibility studies, negotiate leases, and manage capex to open 5–6 new stores annually on time and under budget.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with the Supply Chain for demand data, align promotions with Marketing, and synchronize new store launches with Creative and Tech teams.

Candidate Profile:

  • 6–10 years of experience leading multiple stores in fashion, home, lifestyle, or FMCG retail.

  • Proven experience opening or remodeling 2+ stores from site search to grand opening.

  • Skilled in coaching Gen-Z sales teams and embedding SOPs as habits.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting POS dashboards (Lightspeed, Shopify, SAP, etc.).

  • Strong lease negotiation skills, combining persistence and professionalism.

  • Willingness to travel nationwide (~30% travel expected).
