Description:
We are seeking a passionate Quantum Computer Physicist (Intern) to join our research team. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to work on cutting-edge quantum computing projects, including algorithm development, quantum simulations, and hardware research. The intern will collaborate with experts in the field, contribute to ongoing research, and gain valuable experience in quantum technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and simulation of quantum algorithms using Qiskit, PennyLane, or Cirq.
- Conduct theoretical and experimental research on quantum mechanics, quantum information theory, and quantum error correction.
- Work on quantum computing hardware aspects, including quantum gates, qubit stability, and decoherence effects.
- Perform numerical simulations of quantum systems and analyze results.
- Collaborate with senior researchers on publications and presentations.
- Stay up to date with advancements in quantum computing and contribute innovative ideas.
- Document research findings and prepare reports for internal and external dissemination.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Physics, Quantum Computing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and computational physics.
- Experience with Python and quantum computing libraries (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane, etc.).
- Understanding of quantum circuits, quantum gates, and quantum algorithms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Research experience in quantum computing, quantum information, or condensed matter physics.
- Familiarity with quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical computing.
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and GPU-accelerated simulations.
- Previous experience working in a research lab or on quantum computing projects.
