The Role: QA Manager – Remote

 

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join our team. As a QA Manager, you will be responsible for leading the quality assurance efforts for our social platform. You will oversee a team of QA engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software that meets both functional and non-functional requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain QA processes, standards, and best practices.

 

Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Develop and implement QA strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the delivery of highquality software products.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to understand requirements and establish test plans.
• Design, implement, and execute test cases and test scenarios to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.
• Establish and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of QA processes.
• Monitor and analyze test results, identify trends, and report on quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Identify and prioritize areas for improvement in the software development lifecycle to enhance product quality and delivery speed.
• Proactively identify and address potential risks and issues that may impact product quality or release timelines.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and QA trends to continuously improve the QA process and team capabilities.
• Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the QA team and across the organization.

 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience (5 years) in QA management or leadership role within the software industry, preferably in social platforms or related domains.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of social platforms or similar consumer-facing products is a plus.
• Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus
