Project Coordinator

 

Description:

The Project Coordinator oversees the implementation of ISCOS projects in Swat and nearby project sites, ensuring alignment with project goals, donor compliance, and coordination with partners and local authorities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
  • Supervise and support local coordinators and other field staff
  • Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability in coordination with the Local Accountant
  • Manage the project procurements, in coordination with Project Directors, HoP, HoSS and Country Logistician;
  • Ensure timely and quality reporting to the Head of Programs and donors
  • Represent ISCOS in coordination meetings at local levels
  • Identify challenges, risks, and mitigation strategies during project execution
  • Provide original contributions to project interpretation in KP, through community-driven decolonial approaches

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in development studies, social sciences, philosophy, economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in managing development projects, between INGOs and local NGOs working with international donors.
  • Proven experience with international donors and related procedure (better if AICS or EU/PRAG).
  • Proven experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects in conflict-sensitive areas.
  • Proven record of managing and guiding a small team in the implementation of development project activities.
  • Experience in cultural heritage promotion activities and sustainable tourism is a strong asset.
  • Strong leadership, reporting, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in Pashto and English is essential.
  • Knowledge of Hindko is a strong asset.
  • Critical understanding of PCM and M&E is a must.
  • Familiarity with Trade Unions and labour rights related issues is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the archeological heritage of the region is a strong asset.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and other project management tools.
  • Capacity to understand project documents and translate them into implementation.
  • Critical understanding of the international developmental sector in Pakistan.
