Project Associate

 

Description:

The Project Associate will support in the project tasks completion. Recruit the volunteer youth in their respective provinces. They will supervise the youth volunteers in planning, implementation, and monitoring of youth-led Menstrual Health Action Projects (MHAPs). The role involves recruiting, training, and mentoring youth volunteers, organizing awareness sessions, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring effective community engagement. The position requires strong coordination, facilitation, and reporting skills with a passion for youth empowerment and menstrual health advocacy.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Volunteer Mobilization & Capacity Building
  • Identify, recruit, and orient youth volunteers (especially girls and young women) from communities, colleges, and youth networks.
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions on menstrual health, hygiene, and SRHR (sexual and reproductive health and rights).
  • Guide youth in designing and executing local MHM action projects.
  • Community Engagement & Awareness
  • Coordinate with schools, colleges, and community organizations to host awareness campaigns and outreach activities.
  • Support youth volunteers in delivering peer-to-peer education and community sensitization.
  • Ensure inclusive and culturally sensitive engagement, especially in underserved or rural areas.
  • Coordination & Implementation
  • Collaborate with the project team to plan monthly and quarterly activities.
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, events, and materials distribution.
  • Maintain close liaison with local stakeholders, government departments, and civil society organizations.
  • Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
  • Track progress of youth-led action projects through field visits, check-ins, and data collection.
  • Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Prepare and submit timely activity reports, attendance sheets, photo documentation, and field updates.
     

Skills
 

  • Strong knowledge of MHM, SRHR, and gender equity issues
  • Experience in volunteer training, community facilitation, and youth engagement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute events independently
  • Proficient in MS Office, digital reporting tools, and social media
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the project area
