Description:
We are looking for a Product UI/UX Specialist who understands that good design is not decoration — it is problem-solving.
This role works directly with incubated and accelerated startups to help them improve product usability, user experience, and customer engagement. You’ll support founders and development teams in making design decisions that are practical, user-centered, and aligned with real product constraints.
Role Scope
This role operates across startup product support, design execution, and capacity building, including:
- Designing and reviewing UI/UX for startup products
- Translating user research into usable design decisions
- Supporting technical teams during implementation
- Building design maturity within early-stage teams
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 16 years of education in Human–Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Software Engineering, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience designing UI/UX for web and mobile applications
- Prior experience working with startups, product teams, or digital agencies is strongly preferred
- Strong command of design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent
- Understanding of usability principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design
Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive user interfaces and user flows for startup web and mobile applications
- Conduct user research activities including persona creation, user journey mapping, and usability testing
- Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, design systems, and UI assets (icons, components, layouts)
- Collaborate closely with startup developers to ensure smooth implementation of designs
- Review existing products and provide actionable UI/UX improvement recommendations
- Support startups through design consultations, critiques, and iterative feedback
- Help startups improve onboarding flows, engagement, and overall product usability
- Deliver basic UI/UX workshops for cohort startups on design thinking, accessibility, and usability best practices
- Ensure design solutions remain practical, scalable, and aligned with early-stage realities
