Description:
We are a multi-brand e-commerce company selling a diverse range of consumer products across the UK, EU, Australia, and other markets. We are looking for a Product Compliance & Regulatory Manager to ensure all products meet required safety, labelling, and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for managing compliance documentation, working with suppliers, and ensuring the business remains up to date with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage product compliance across all brands and categories from development to post-sale.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation, including UKCA, CE, DoC, RCM, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, CPSR, SCPN, and others.
- Ensure packaging, labelling, and instruction manuals meet local regulatory requirements for each market.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to verify correct markings, safety warnings, and traceability standards.
- Coordinate with accredited laboratories to carry out necessary product testing and certification.
- Monitor advertising and marketing claims to ensure compliance with ASA, Trading Standards, and MHRA guidance.
- Oversee the Responsible Person duties for the UK and EU markets.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments for new and existing products.
- Support other departments with compliance advice and documentation as needed.
- Track changes in relevant laws and regulations across regions and adapt business practices accordingly.
- Manage any compliance-related inquiries or investigations from regulators.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, or quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of UK and EU compliance requirements, including UKCA, CE, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and related legislation.
- Experience with cosmetic product compliance, including CPSR and SCPN.
- Familiarity with testing protocols and interpreting lab reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple product categories simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, especially in liaising with overseas suppliers and testing labs.
- Knowledge of IOSS, Responsible Person regulations, and labelling standards across regions is an advantage.
- Experience handling ASA or Trading Standards compliance matters is preferred.
- Understanding of DoC's and compliance material required
