Power Bi Developer

Description:

Tekboox, a Chicago-based IT services provider, is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions that provide valuable insights through interactive dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.

• Connect Power BI to various data sources (SQL, Excel, APIs, etc.) and ensure efficient data extraction and transformation.

• Write DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language) for data calculations and transformations.

• Optimize data models for performance and scalability.

• Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights.

• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all reports and dashboards.

• Develop and manage Power BI workspaces, datasets, and apps.

• Integrate Power BI reports with other Microsoft tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, etc.).

• Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI issues and performance bottlenecks.

• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, trends, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in Power BI development.

• Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Report Server.

• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL.

• Experience in data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and database management.

• Ability to integrate Power BI with various data sources like SQL Server, Azure, Excel, and APIs.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
