ACCOUNTAX CONSULTANTS UK LIMITED is a young and vibrant firm of Chartered Certified Accountants, Registered Auditors and Tax Advisors, based in the West End of London and Essex. They provide professional accounting services to small businesses, ranging from individual sole traders to large commercial and manufacturing businesses, professional firms, not-for-profit organizations, and charities. Over 90% of new clients have come from existing client recommendations.

 

Qualification & KNOWLEDGE:

• ACCA, CA, or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 05 years of relevant working experience in the UK market with clients

• Substantial experience in financial management managing accounts

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills including effective presentation skills

• Analytical and critical thinking

• Sensitive to organization values and principles

• Ability to develop and implement strong accounting controls

• Proficient in Accounting Software, TAXCALC system, QuickBooks, MS Office, and other relevant software

• Ability to deliver results on time utilizing strong analytical, critical decision-making, and strategic planning skills

• Organised and able to excel under pressure

Responsibilities:

 

• Demonstrated understanding and application of accounting principles and tax regulations in client portfolios.

• Timely and accurate review and finalization of client accounts and management accounts.

• Ensuring thorough review and finalization of Value Added Tax (VAT) documents in compliance with regulations.

• Accuracy and completeness in reviewing and finalizing tax returns for clients.

• Ensuring accuracy and compliance in reviewing payroll, PAYE, pension, and CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) matters.

• Proficiency in using accounting software such as Excel, QuickBooks (QB), and Xero to streamline processes and enhance productivity.

• Clear and effective communication in English through verbal interactions, emails, letters, and reports.

• Prompt and satisfactory resolution of client queries and concerns.

• Effectively manage a portfolio of clients, demonstrating efficiency and achieving positive client feedback from a specified number of clients.

• Efficient handling of interactions with government agencies such as HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and Companies House (CH).

• Actively assisting team members and demonstrating flexibility by staying late when necessary to meet deadlines.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to changes in regulations, software, and processes.

• Effectively training and mentoring junior staff to enhance their skills and productivity.

• Consistently meeting deadlines and effectively managing time to prioritize tasks.

• Maintaining high standards of quality in all aspects of work, including accuracy, completeness, and attention to detail.

• Achieving or surpassing monthly collection targets set for client portfolios.

• Efficiently allocating resources and delegating tasks within the team to maximize productivity and performance.

• Demonstrated understanding and adherence to internal processes, including working papers and reporting procedures.
