Description:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Pool Manager to join our Islamic Banking Division. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in pool management within the Islamic banking sector, ensuring full Shariah compliance and regulatory adherence in all profit distribution processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pool calculations to ensure accurate and timely profit distribution aligned with Shariah principles.
- Maintain strict compliance with Shariah guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with internal/external auditors during pool audits, ensuring timely submission of data and explanations.
- Analyze market trends and industry payouts on Mudarabah deposits to ensure competitiveness.
- Liaise with internal departments including Finance, Shariah, Compliance, and IT for smooth pool operations.
- Maintain precise records of all pool-related activities and allocations.
- Prepare pool disclosures and reports for financial statements and regulatory filings.
- Manage allocation of funds across pools in accordance with Shariah rulings and internal policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master’s in Banking & Finance, Islamic Finance, MBA, ACCA, or MIBF.
- Minimum 2 years of direct experience in Pool Management within Islamic Banking.
- Strong understanding of Islamic finance principles, specifically Mudarabah and profit-sharing models.
- NIBAF or equivalent certification in Islamic Banking is a strong plus.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience in automation of pool systems is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
