Description:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project schedules, including work breakdown structures (WBS), activity lists, durations, and dependencies, in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with project teams to allocate resources such as labor, equipment, and materials based on project requirements and schedule constraints.
- Identify critical path activities and milestones to prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and mitigate risks of schedule delays.
- Continuously review and update project schedules to optimize workflow, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity.
- Monitor project progress against established schedules, tracking actual vs. planned progress and identifying deviations or variances.
- Assess the impact of changes to project scope, schedule, or resources, and communicate revisions to stakeholders to ensure alignment and minimize disruptions.
- Identify potential scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, or external factors that may impact project timelines, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication among project teams, subcontractors, and clients regarding schedule updates, changes, and progress.
- Maintain accurate records of schedule revisions, change orders, delays, and other relevant project information.
- Generate regular reports on schedule performance, including key metrics such as schedule adherence, resource utilization, and project milestones.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum B.Sc in Civil Engineering, M.S in Construction Management shall be preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of Experience as a Planning Engineer.
- Previous experience in planning, scheduling, or project management roles within the construction industry.
- Must be detail-oriented. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess project schedules, identify issues, and propose solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effetively liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Ability to manage time effictively, priortize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Collaborative attitue with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary proejct teams.
- Flexible to adapt to changing project requirements, timelines, and priorities.
