Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Planning Engineer to join our team for a housing society construction project. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, proficiency in various planning tools, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively. As a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing project plans.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans using Primavera P6 and ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Coordinate with various departments to create and update realistic schedules.
- Assist in estimating project costs, budgeting for materials, labor, and determining procurement requirements.
- Track quantities of materials and prepare and review bills of quantities (BoQ).
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage project budgets and monitor expenditures.
- Interpret and review architectural and engineering drawings for construction execution.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and prepare progress reports and presentations.
- Work closely with engineers, construction teams, and stakeholders to resolve project issues and delays.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout construction activities.
- Assist in risk identification and mitigation related to project execution.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in a similar role in construction, preferably in housing society projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Primavera P6, and MS Project.
- Strong expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, quantity surveying, and drawing interpretation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
