Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Planning Engineer with 5 + years of experience in construction planning. The ideal candidate must have a civil engineering degree and proven expertise working on high-rise buildings and projects in mountainous terrains. This role requires strong proficiency in project scheduling, monitoring, and cost estimation, along with coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using tools like MS Excel, MS Project. (Primavera P6 will be preferred)
- Coordinate with site teams and consultants to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Prepare and update work progress reports, dashboards, and delay analysis.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Analyze variations, prepare cost estimates, and support in claims and change management.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing baseline programs and recovery plans.
- Evaluate subcontractors’ and suppliers’ programs and performance.
- Conduct site visits in mountainous regions and ensure schedule alignment with actual site progress.
- Liaise with the procurement and finance teams for material and cost planning.
- Ensure project compliance with safety, quality, and time standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required).
- 5+ years of relevant experience, with hands-on exposure to:
- High-rise construction
- Mountainous or challenging terrains
- Project planning and scheduling
- Quantity surveying (QS)
- Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of construction sequences, cost control, and resource management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in dynamic environments and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel or relocate to project sites as required.
