Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-driven Optometrist to join our team at Al-Aziz Optical. While clinical expertise is important, your primary role will revolve around sales—guiding customers towards the best eyewear and lens solutions based on their vision needs and lifestyle. You will play a key role in delivering an exceptional in-store experience and driving business growth through product recommendations, upselling, and after-sales support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate refraction tests and basic eye screenings for walk-in customers.
- Actively engage with clients to understand their vision needs and recommend suitable frames and lenses.
- Educate customers on premium lens options (e.g., Zeiss, Privo, etc.) and promote value-added products such as blue light protection or progressive lenses.
- Assist the sales team in converting walk-ins into high-ticket purchases.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of inventory, including the latest trends in frames and lens technologies.
- Support in merchandising, product displays, and creating a professional in-store environment.
- Follow up with customers for prescription updates, product pick-up, or service feedback.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and handle any post-purchase concerns or queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Optometry or a Diploma from a recognized institution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong persuasion and upselling ability.
- Professional grooming and a customer-first mindset.
- Basic understanding of lens types, coatings, and frame fitting.
- Previous experience in optical retail or premium eyewear brands is a plus.
