Operations Manager

 

Description:

Design Savvy is looking for an experienced and skilled Operations Manager/HR Specialist to build and manage the operational and human resources frameworks in the Lahore office. This pivotal role will establish the administrative backbone for the office, ensuring smooth daily operations and a supportive, compliant workplace. Initially starting remotely, the role will transition to an office-based position as the physical workspace is set up.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources:

  • Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures that comply with Pakistani labor laws and reflect company values.

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle: posting jobs, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.

  • Handle employee relations, resolve grievances, conduct performance evaluations, and promote a positive work culture.

  • Administer payroll, benefits, and ensure compliance with regulations such as EOBI and social security.

  • Maintain secure, organized employee records and HR databases.

  • Create and deliver training programs to boost employee skills and career development.

  • Oversee employee off-boarding, including exit interviews and final settlements.

Operations:

  • Supervise daily office operations, including facilities management, supply procurement, and equipment maintenance.

  • Design and implement operational workflows to enhance efficiency, cut costs, and support business expansion.

  • Track and manage budgets for operational expenses, aligning with financial objectives.

  • Collaborate with departments like development and finance to align operational efforts with company goals.

  • Lead and support administrative staff, fostering a teamwork-driven environment.

  • Generate detailed reports on operations, HR metrics, and compliance for senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or a related field.

  • At least 7 years of experience in operations management, HR, or a similar role, ideally in a tech or startup setting.

  • In-depth understanding of Pakistani labor laws, tax regulations, and HR best practices.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and leading cross-functional projects.

  • Proficiency in HR software, office tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Exceptional English communication skills for drafting policies, leading meetings, and coordinating with global stakeholders.

  • Experience managing remote teams and transitioning to office setups, with knowledge of tools like Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.

  • High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills for managing sensitive employee issues.

  • HR or operations certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM) is a plus but not required.

  • Strong alignment with company values of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
