Description:
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Odoo Functional Consultant to collaborate with our Business Development, Technical, and Implementation teams. The ideal candidate will analyze client needs, design tailored ERP solutions, and deliver compelling demonstrations that showcase Odoo’s capabilities. This is a client-facing role requiring strong functional expertise and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective clients to understand business objectives, challenges, and operational requirements.
- Lead discovery sessions, process analysis, and requirements gathering to identify suitable Odoo solutions.
- Prepare and deliver customized Odoo demonstrations tailored to client pain points.
- Collaborate with the sales team to prepare proposals, functional documents, and scope-of-work (SOW).
- Map client business processes to Odoo modules and recommend configurations or minor customizations.
- Prepare project plans, functional blueprints, and detailed system requirements for implementation teams.
- Support RFP/RFQ responses, bid preparations, and client presentations.
- Act as the functional bridge between sales, technical, and implementation teams for project alignment.
- Participate in implementation phases, including configuration validation, UAT support, and go-live assistance.
- Maintain effective communication with clients to refine solutions and enhance pre-sales processes.
- Stay updated on Odoo features, new modules, and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant (pre-sales + implementation).
- Strong knowledge of Odoo modules (Sales, CRM, Inventory, Accounting, HR, Project, Manufacturing, Purchase).
- Proven expertise in conducting live demos, preparing functional proposals, and defining project scope.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical clients.
- Experience with both Odoo Community and Enterprise editions.
- Familiarity with RFP/RFQ preparation, project estimation, and solution pitching.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in preparing functional documentation, process flow diagrams, and user guides.
