Moodle Developer

Softmatic Solutions, a leading software development firm, is actively looking for a Moodle Developer to join its on-site team in Garden Town, Lahore. The ideal candidate will bring over a year of hands-on Moodle development experience, along with a strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, and LMS standards. This role provides a great opportunity to work on cutting-edge education technology and contribute to the development of dynamic, engaging learning platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain custom Moodle plugins, themes, and modules tailored to client and internal requirements.

• Integrate Moodle with external systems using APIs and web services such as REST and SOAP.

• Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security of Moodle platforms.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.

• Collaborate with instructional designers and other developers to build engaging, learner-focused solutions.

• Conduct system upgrades, testing, and deployments with thorough documentation.

• Maintain technical documentation for all development work and integrations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 1+ years of experience in Moodle development.

• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Solid understanding of LMS protocols such as SCORM and xAPI.

• Experience in plugin and theme customization.

• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.

• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.

Plus Points (Nice to Have):

• Experience in WordPress development (themes, plugins, performance tuning).

• Core PHP development background.

• Knowledge of Moodle REST/SOAP APIs.

• Basic UI/UX design principles.

• Familiarity with other LMS platforms or EdTech tools.

Work Hours: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
