Description:
This is a full-time role for a Mern Stack Developer at GenieSign. As a MERN Stack Developer at GenieSign, you will be a key member of our engineering team, responsible for building robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications. You will be involved in all stages of the development lifecycle—from architectural design and development to testing and deployment. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver innovative solutions that support business objectives and enhance user experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Application Development
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js), along with Next.js for server-side rendering, NestJS for scalable backend architecture, and PostgreSQL for relational data management.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to industry best practices.
- Implement and manage state using Redux or other modern state management libraries.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
2. Database Management
- Design and maintain both SQL and NoSQL databases for various use cases.
- Develop and maintain data models and efficient database queries.
- Ensure data security, integrity, and backup procedures.
3. Real-Time Functionality
- Integrate WebSockets and other real-time technologies to support live updates and interactive features.
- Ensure robust and secure communication protocols for real-time systems.
4. Collaboration and Agile Workflow
- Work in an Agile development environment with regular stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver features.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development using the MERN stack.
- Strong understanding of core JavaScript and TypeScript concepts.
- Proven experience with Express.js and RESTful APIs.
- Expertise in Redux or similar state management libraries.
- Strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database systems.
- Experience implementing WebSocket functionality for real-time applications.
