Description:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Merchandiser to join our Knits Division and play a crucial role in managing the entire order process, from yarn to finished garment.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the design and production teams to understand product requirements and specifications.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers for yarn, fabric, and other materials needed for the production of knitted garments.
- Calculate and analyze costing for each order, considering all relevant factors such as materials, labor, and overhead costs.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and cost-effective manufacturing processes.
- Manage the complete order process, including production scheduling, quality control, and on-time delivery.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers, ensuring they meet quality and timeline requirements.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor products, and pricing to stay competitive in the industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Merchandiser with a focus on knitwear in the fashion industry.
- Experience working with both local and export orders for a fashion brand is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of yarns, fabrics, and garment production processes.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to calculate and analyze production costing effectively.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
