Please Note: This position is for a Medical Billing AR Executive in the US Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) industry. This is NOT an Accounts Receivable (Finance) position.
Job Responsibilities
- Follow up on unpaid and denied insurance claims.
- Contact insurance companies to resolve claim denials and payment issues.
- Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA).
- Investigate claim rejections and identify root causes.
- Work on denied, rejected, and underpaid claims for maximum reimbursement.
- Ensure timely resolution of outstanding AR and reduce aging balances.
- Submit claim reconsiderations, appeals, and corrected claims when required.
- Maintain detailed account notes and document follow-up activities.
- Coordinate with internal billing and coding teams to resolve claim-related issues.
- Meet daily productivity and quality targets.
Requirements
- 1–4 years of experience as a Medical Billing AR Executive in US Healthcare.
- Strong understanding of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
- Experience handling insurance follow-ups, denials, appeals, and payment posting concepts.
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes is an advantage.
- Experience working with major commercial and government payers.
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR and medical billing software.
- Excellent English communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
