Description:
The Math Teacher will deliver high-quality online Math instruction to students in regions facing teacher shortages. Working alongside in-class Teacher Assistants (TAs), the teacher will ensure students meet academic standards through structured, engaging, and globally aligned Math lessons. The role may also include curriculum support, content development, and participation in PLCs based on availability.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver interactive online Math lessons using digital tools, visual aids, simulations, and models.
- Coordinate with Teacher Assistants to ensure smooth classroom management.
- Prepare lesson plans aligned with regional and global curricula (e.g., GCSE, IB).
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations and provide timely feedback.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs and ensure inclusive learning.
Instructional & Curriculum Responsibilities
- Develop or adapt Math curricula aligned with international and local standards.
- Integrate practical activities, multimedia resources, and simulations to enhance virtual learning.
- Implement remediation strategies to close learning gaps.
- Align teaching practices with global benchmarks such as PISA and TIMSS.
Supplementary (as needed)
- Support content development for Math materials and assessments.
- Contribute insights for academic research and EdTech integration.
- Participate in or lead PLCs and teacher training sessions.
Job Requirements
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Math (Physics, Chemistry, Biology acceptable).
- B.Ed with a focus on Math.
Experience (Required)
- 3–5 years of Math teaching experience.
- Experience with online teaching platforms.
Skills (Required)
- Strong subject knowledge and pedagogy.
- Proficiency with digital tools for remote teaching.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred
- Experience managing online classrooms.
- Familiarity with challenges in underserved learning environments.
- Willingness to support additional academic initiatives.
