Inbox Business Technologies is looking for Manager Taxation
Education: Bachelor in Accounting and Finance from a reputable national/international university OR Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) OR Equivalent.
Experience: 6 - 8 years of experience in dealing with Finance function with preferably 3 - 4 years of experience in Taxation function in a Managerial role
Job Description:
- Manage matters related to direct and indirect taxes, tax exemptions and tax returns & refunds. In addition, implement tax saving strategies, stay updated on the changes in regulations and analyze their impacts to discuss with the General Manager.
- Provide support in provision of accurate information as requested by tax and appellate authorities according to laws and regulations such as Income Tax Ordinance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales and income taxes, reconcile with general ledgers and deposit to government treasury in order to ensure organization’s compliance with necessary rules and regulations.
- File all relevant tax returns and withholding tax statements as per the laws and regulations to remain compliant.
- Provide guidance to various departments on matters concerning chargeability and withholding of income tax and sales tax.
- Assist the external auditors for all tax related matters during annual audit and half-year review of financial statements of the company.
- Ensure compliance to federal and provincial notices and orders with the help of tax consultants and provide them with requested data and information in due time to remain compliant, avoid any penalties and safeguard organization’s interests at all times.
- Ensure completion of Income tax audit and monitor proceedings of withholding tax audits initiated by FBR in order to remain compliant.
- Carry out research and analysis to increase tax efficiency of the company
- Ensure an updated database of relevant documents pertaining to the Tax function for review and ease of access at all times
Job Specific Skills:
- General knowledge of IFRS reporting requirements
- Sound working knowledge of Income Tax, Sales Tax and Provincial Tax Laws
