Manager Hospital Waste Management

Description:

Responsible to manage the waste management staff including supervisors and waste collectors in hospital.

Responsible to coordinate with Hospital director, associate hospital director and manager facilities for day-to-day matters related to the Hospital Waste Management.

Responsible to check the daily attendance and ensures implementation of duty roasters of all staff including Supervisor and waste collectors in hospital.

Responsible to send the daily activity reports to Head Office at the start of each working day on pre-defined templates through email or any prescribed social medium.

Responsible to keep in coordination with Infection Control Head / Waste Management Officer / to ensure monthly Waste Management / Infection Control meeting in hospital.

Responsible to conduct training sessions at least once in a month in designated place of hospital.

Responsible to share daily collection report on daily basis.

Responsible to duly sign monthly reports (Monthly Waste Report etc.) by manager facility, associate hospital director and hospital director.

Responsible to send duly signed Monthly reports to office in start of every month.

Responsible to report any accident/incident to Office through Email on pre-defined forms for record purpose.

Responsible to verify all the documented entries on pre-defined formats/ forms and registers.

Responsible to maintain record of consumables and inventory.

Responsible for day-to-day implementation and monitoring of Waste Management Plan in all Hospital.


FOR WASTE COLLECTION:

Ensures ward wise collection of infectious waste bags from Hospital.

Ensures proper sealing, weighing and tagging of waste bags with QR code generated from Weighing Scale at the time of collection from yellow room of hospital.

Ensures and verifies each entry on pre-defined collection registers on daily basis.

Ensures the data recording of each waste bag on Yellow Register at yellow room.


FOR WASTE STORAGE:

Ensures the scanning of collected waste bags on daily basis at the time of transportation from yellow room to incineration site.


FOR WASTE TRANSPORTATION:

Ensures the proper stacking of loaded infectious waste bags in cabin of Yellow Vehicle.

Verifies each entry on register associated with off-site transportation of infectious waste bags.


Qualification: BS (Environmental Engineering)/ MS (Environmental Engineering) BS (Environmental sciences)/ MS (Environmental sciences)

Experienceminimum 3 years of Job experience.
