Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all global trade laws, customs rules, and import/export regulations for textiles/apparel.
  • Documentation: Prepare, review, and manage crucial documents (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, B/L, Certificates of Origin, Customs Declarations).
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers for efficient land, sea, or air transport.
  • Supplier/Client Relations: Liaise with overseas buyers, manufacturers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • Cost Optimization: Negotiate freight rates and manage costs to improve profitability.
  • Problem Solving: Address delays, customs holds, or unexpected issues during transit.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records and generate reports on all trade activities.

 

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Foreign Trade.
  • Experience: Proven background in import/export, ideally in textiles/apparel.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, problem-solving, attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of customs procedures, incoterms, trade finance, and global market trends.
