Labor Relations Specialist

You will join a growing team within our Pakistan function, as part of the Responsible Sourcing team.In cooperation with our global sourcing teams, we are responsible for developing and implementing BESTSELLER’s policies and standards as well as achieving our sustainability targets throughout the supply chain.

As a Social & Labour Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to manage the Supply Chain in relation to factories’ social & labor performance in Pakistan. Consequently, you will cooperate with a range of stakeholders, both internally and externally, including sourcing and buying teams, suppliers, and sustainable materials organizations social & labor issues. He/she will report to the Social & Labour Manager.

 

You will play an important role in achieving BESTSELLER’s sustainability goals and targets.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding processes for suppliers and factories.
  • Maintain and update the supplier and factory database regularly to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Monitor the monthly factory verification due date list and conduct factory assessments to evaluate social and labour sustainability and compliance performance of BESTSELLER sourcing factories and evaluate their alignment with BESTSELLER's social and labour guidelines, as well as local labour laws.
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely reporting of social and labour factory assessment data.
  • Provide support to the Social and Labor team in handling social compliance cases as required.
  • Provide technical advice to suppliers via phone, email, and in-person meetings, assisting with the development and implementation of corrective action plans (CAP) to address identified areas of improvement.
  • Support various internal teams—including Social/Environmental teams, Commercial teams, and other departments—by collecting and coordinating compliance-related data.
  • Deliver training to sourcing factories on BESTSELLER's Code of Conduct, social and labor expectations, and applicable legal requirements.
  • Respond to inquiries from commercial teams and brands regarding the supplier/factory Code of Conduct status and social and labor performance of sourcing factories in Pakistan.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of agreed external Social & Labor Management projects and internal social impact programs.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and booking of third-party audits as needed.
  • Stay informed on the latest industry standards, legal developments in labor laws, and relevant statistics.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.

 

Success criteria

  • Initial, routine and follow up verifications at BESTSELLER sourcing factories
  • Complete verification documentation including preparing factory assessment reports.
  • Maintain accurate supplier/factory data-base.
  • Supplier, sourcing team and Head Office colleagues are supported in the wanted and needed way for the implementation of BESTSELLER COC.
  • Acting as a good team player and colleague according to BESTSELLER’s founding principles

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline however, preference will be given to candidates with a certification/diploma/degree in Human Resource, Labour Laws or Human Rights.
  • Experience in social and labour compliance and sustainability and human resource management in the garment/textile industry or experience with a buying house is highly preferred.
  • 1-2 years in relevant field. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Have proactiveness and positive Attitude & high degree of work ethics and integrity.
  • Professional Certification: SA8000, ISO45000, ISO 450001 will be preferred.
  • Candidates must also be able to work as part of a team, open-minded, energetic individuals who can contribute to a passionate team
