Dawn Coating & Chemical Industry Pvt Ltd, under its well-known brand Corona Paints, is actively seeking a Lab Assistant to join its Quality Control department in Lahore. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about chemical processes, paint formulations, and laboratory procedures. The role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced production lab environment with opportunities to grow in a technically driven organization.

As a Lab Assistant, you will play a key role in conducting quality tests on paint products, ensuring compliance with product specifications, and supporting product development activities. This position demands attention to detail, a passion for chemistry, and the ability to work collaboratively within a structured laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform chemical and physical tests on raw materials, intermediate batches, and final paint products to ensure quality and consistency

• Prepare and test color samples for shade matching and appearance evaluation

• Execute standard lab procedures such as testing viscosity, gloss, drying time, pH, opacity, and other relevant parameters

• Record and analyze test results accurately, and report anomalies or deviations to the Quality Control (QC) team promptly

• Assist senior chemists and QC officers in product development, formulation trials, and batch adjustments

• Maintain proper documentation of test results, sample records, and lab reports for traceability

• Ensure lab instruments are calibrated regularly and function correctly according to SOPs

• Practice strict hygiene, safety, and chemical handling protocols at all times

• Label and organize lab test samples methodically to ensure easy identification and retrieval

• Participate in efforts to improve lab efficiency, documentation, and quality systems

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant science field

• 1–3 years of experience in a chemical or paint testing laboratory (Fresh graduates with strong lab exposure may apply)

• Knowledge of paint chemistry, QC testing procedures, and lab equipment operation

• Strong understanding of lab safety, SOPs, and material handling practices

• Good communication, organizational, and reporting skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet production timelines

• Proficiency in maintaining lab cleanliness and equipment integrity
