Description:

As a DevOps Engineer, your primary responsibility is to collaborate with development and IT operations teams to streamline and enhance the software development lifecycle. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure, tools, and processes that enable continuous integration, continuous delivery, and efficient software deployment. Your goal is to bridge the gap between development and operations by fostering a culture of collaboration and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management: Design, set up, and manage the infrastructure necessary for deploying and hosting applications, utilizing cloud platforms, virtualization, and containerization technologies.

Continuous Integration and Deployment: Develop and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines to ensure quick and reliable delivery of software updates.

Configuration Management: Implement and manage configuration management tools to ensure consistent and repeatable infrastructure and application setups.

Monitoring and Logging: Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to proactively identify and address performance and security issues.

Automation: Create and maintain scripts and tools to automate manual processes, reducing human intervention and increasing operational efficiency.

Security and Compliance: Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices in securing infrastructure, applications, and data. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and provide support for optimizing the development workflow.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for processes, procedures, and infrastructure configurations.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to suggest improvements and innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Ruby).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
Strong understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack).
Solid understanding of networking, security, and server administration.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
