Description:
For an international project in Washington, we are urgently looking for 1 Junior Database developer with experience in Azure Data Lake and migrating data from on-premise to cloud databases.
We are looking for contractors, who are able to work 8 hours US (Washington) time.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating, and maintaining, conceptual, logical, and physical data models defining business requirements for large scale applications and business intelligence purpose;
- Extensive experience in mapping data elements for ETL purposes;
- Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects;
- Experience in generating physical DDL to deploy to databases;
- Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions;
- Guide System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces;
Profile:
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- +2 of strong experience in data analysis and modelling using ERWin for Structured data on relational database, such as Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server;
- Experience in writing SQL queries and scripts for data analysis and migration scripts;
- Experience with PostgreSQL;
- Experience in Azure Data Lake and migrating data from on-premise to cloud databases;
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools;
- Knowledge and experience in DB implementation;
- Experience with implementing information security in DA, Reporting;
- Experience in problem solving with strong skills in design and problem formulation; data curation; data acquisition, data cleaning, and data management; data interpretation and analysis; and the presentation and communication of results;
- Fluent in English;
