Junior Cloud Support Engineer

A global tech company specializing in open-source innovation, IoT hardware design, telematics, and enterprise cloud solutions is seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer with a strong foundation in DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure. This remote role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative team working on cutting-edge, scalable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure Management:

  • Conduct daily backups, system maintenance, and apply security enhancements such as firewalls, patches, and compliance checks.

  • Deploy, migrate, and manage large-scale virtual machines, hypervisors (KVM, Xen, Hyper-V), and client-specific servers including mail, FTP, database, web, and AI-based systems.

  • Use Grafana and Prometheus for infrastructure monitoring (active/passive).

• Automation & Optimization:

  • Automate processes using Ansible and containerization platforms such as Docker and LXC.

  • Manage storage with Ceph and orchestrate cloud environments using OpenStack or CloudStack.

• Collaboration & Support:

  • Act as a key point of contact between internal teams and clients, providing technical support in both English and Arabic.

  • Troubleshoot and support enterprise Linux systems (Oracle Linux, Debian) and .NET deployments on Linux.

  • Maintain high-level networking systems, physical server hardware, and IoT-integrated infrastructure.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Experience with hypervisors (KVM, Xen, Hyper-V) and cloud orchestration tools (OpenStack, CloudStack).

• Proficiency in Docker, LXC, Ceph, Ansible, and database systems like PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and OracleDB.

• Familiarity with enterprise Linux environments and IoT systems.

• Excellent communication in English and Arabic, with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
