Junior Associate

 

Description:

We are hiring a Junior Associate to support our consulting practice. This is a generalist role designed for someone who wants to learn the digital asset and financial regulation space from the ground up. You will work directly with the founder on live engagements, with significant exposure to senior stakeholders at exchanges, banks, and regulatory bodies.

 

This is not a back-office role. From day one, you will be drafting documents that go to clients, researching policy questions that inform real decisions, and learning how regulatory strategy is built in practice.

 

What You Will Do

 

Research regulatory frameworks across jurisdictions (Pakistan, GCC, UK, EU, US, Singapore) and synthesize findings into clear, structured analysis.

 

Draft client deliverables including policy memos, regulatory briefs, comment letters, position papers, and stakeholder communications.

 

Track legislative and regulatory developments globally and produce internal updates on what matters and why.

 

Support outreach efforts including drafting correspondence, preparing meeting briefs, and managing follow-ups with exchanges, regulators, and financial institutions.

 

Build and maintain knowledge assets including internal databases of regulations, precedents, and stakeholder mappings.

 

Contribute to thought leadership including op-eds, explainers, and long-form content under the firm’s banner.

 

What We Are Looking For

 

A strong analytical mind. You can break down a complex problem, identify what actually matters, and structure a response that is tight, sourced, and useful.

 

Excellent written English. You write clean prose. You do not pad. You can hold a reader’s attention.

 

Rigor over speed. We have low tolerance for unsourced claims, sloppy citations, or “I think this is roughly right.” If you do not know, you say so and find out.

 

Curiosity about how the world works. The best people in this field are generalists who read widely. Economics, law, technology, geopolitics. If you find all of these interesting, you will do well here.

 

Comfort with ambiguity. Most of the questions we work on do not have textbook answers. You need to be okay with that.

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution (LUMS, IBA, top international programs, or equivalent). Disciplines we have seen work well include law, economics, public policy, finance, and computer science, but we are open to strong candidates from any background.

 

Demonstrated writing ability. We will ask for samples.

 

Some prior exposure to crypto, fintech, or regulatory work is a plus but not required. We will teach you the substance. We cannot teach you how to think.
